NEWMARKET - Geoffrey Howard Sneirson, 40, of Piscassic Street died unexpectedly October 1, 2018 in Brentwood.

Born August 18, 1978 in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of Gerald L. and Cynthia M. (Greer) Sneirson.

Geoffrey was a gifted athlete and played ice hockey and baseball for many years. He graduated from Oyster River High School in 1996. Geoffrey had a thirst for knowledge and enjoyed reading and acquiring new skills. As an adult, he discovered a passion and talent for art, creating beautiful and intricate handblown glass beads, marbles and vases. Geoffrey loved sharing his art with others, generously gifting his glasswork to friends and family and even new acquaintances during warm, friendly conversations about his work.

Geoffrey was employed for many years as production rigger and member of the IATSE labor union. He was appreciated for his dependability, conscientiousness and dedication to safety and was sought after by staging services and venues around the country.

Survivors include his parents of Newmarket; his cherished son William Douglas Philpot and William’s mother, Carrie Philpot, both of Haverhill, MA; two sisters, Allison Sneirson of Newmarket and Jennifer Kun and her husband, Andrew and their children Julianna and Nicholas of Durham.
