Thomas Francis Maciolek

BARRINGTON - Thomas Francis Maciolek, 65, of Barrington, NH went to be with the Lord in Heaven on January 11 due to complications from open heart surgery in December of 2020. He fought valiantly through a very difficult and painful journey to be with his family as long as possible and was blessed to be surrounded by them in his final hours.

Born on September 12, 1956, in Great Falls, Montana, he was the son of Rosemary Maciolek of Lee, NH and the late Stanley Maciolek. The loving husband of 44 years to Marquita (Kita) Maciolek of Barrington, NH and Best Dad to Tyler Maciolek of Rochester, NH, Brelyn Maciolek of Barrington, NH, and future father-in-law to Antonio Darden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was a caring brother to Liz Kovacs and her husband Kerry of Gardiner, NY, Susan Maciolek of Durham, NH, Patty Cole and her husband Ron of Belmont, NH, Mark Maciolek of Lee, NH, Jeanne Sorensen and her husband Rich of Dover, NH, and the late Theresa Staples of Virginia. He was also predeceased by his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, George and Millie Grover of Old Orchard Beach who thought the world of him.

Tom was a man of great faith and a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Somersworth, NH. In addition to his charitable work, he was an avid reader, a huge football fan and loved taking his family to Disney World. A master electrician by trade, he never missed the opportunity to seek a new skill. He learned to make jewelry during the last few years to pay for donations to many local organizations.

In lieu of flowers, a foundation in Tom's memory will be set up to honor him by supporting the many organizations that were dear to his heart – organizations he helped supply with food, toiletries, clothing, toys, pet supplies and holiday gifts throughout the year. He particularly enjoyed making these deliveries around the seacoast, hoping to make someone else's life better. For more information, please go to: Creating The Best Dad Foundation

Though our hearts are truly broken we are grateful that he is free of pain and no longer suffering and thankful for the wonderful memories that we shared.
